// HOW THIS IS MADE

Colophon

This site is Next.js and Tailwind on Vercel, DNS through Cloudflare. The pages are hardcoded files in a repository, no CMS. When something here changes, it changed because I committed it; the git history is the changelog.

Three typefaces: Clash Display for headings, angular and machined, the typographic cousin of the mark. Switzer for body text. JetBrains Mono wherever the machine is talking: datestamps, statuses, labels. All three are self-hosted; the whole font payload is smaller than a single photo.

The design rules are short. Dark only. Corners stay sharp. No gradients. One ambient animation: the mark breathing on the home page. And the dispatch log runs on heat decay: every entry’s tick cools from red to steel as its real date ages, so the only way to keep this site glowing is to keep shipping. If you’re curious, press and hold the mark.

The mark started life as an AI-generated concept; I redrew it by hand as flat vector geometry. The glow is a few lines of CSS and about twenty lines of script, not a video.

This isn’t entirely solo: the security and infrastructure are sharpened in partnership with 4HCI.
